Stand with Ukraine
Elijah Manley unequivocally stand with the Ukrainian people against Russia’s brutal invasion, as he believe a strong U.S.-Ukraine relationship is essential to push back against Russian aggression, protect European stability, and bolster international law.
In Congress, Elijah is committed to supporting the Ukrainian people by advocating for continued sanctions as well as necessary humanitarian and military aid. While the United States should support diplomatic efforts between Ukraine and Russia, I believe any peace deal must be predicated on full Ukrainian sovereignty. This includes the return of Crimea and all occupied territories, along with the complete withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian territory.
Support for NATO
NATO is a vital force for peace, democracy, and global stability. In Congress, Elijah will strengthen U.S. partnerships with our allies to deter Russian aggression, uphold international law, and fight authoritarianism.
Stand with Taiwan
Taiwan's right to self-determination and democracy is an American priority. In Congress, Elijah will work to strengthen U.S.-Taiwan relations, and promote peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
Israel-Palestine
Elijah Manley believes that Israelis and Palestinians alike deserve to live in peace, safety, dignity, and freedom — with equal rights and the right to self-determination.
Elijah condemns the October 7th attack by Hamas, which killed over 1,200 Israeli civilians and took hundreds of hostages.
What has happened since is not self-defense, it is a genocide, paid for by American taxpayers. American bombs flattened hospitals, schools, and refugee shelters. Tens of thousands of Palestinians, a great many of them children, are dead. For nearly two years families were starved under a deliberate siege, scraping by on animal feed while infants died of malnutrition. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and B'Tselem have all reached the same conclusion, and international courts have issued arrest warrants over it. For decades Washington handed Israel a blank check to bomb, blockade, and starve a captive population, and that check made our country complicit in crimes that have collapsed America's standing across the world. Elijah will use his vote, his voice, and every ounce of leverage the office carries to end that complicity and win a just and lasting peace.
Conditioning military aid. U.S. law already forbids arming forces that violate international humanitarian law. We have simply refused to enforce it against Israel. Elijah will fight to condition every dollar of military funding and every weapons transfer on full compliance with the laws of war and on measurable steps to end the siege and occupation. He will push this administration and every one after it to apply the Leahy Law and the Foreign Assistance Act to Israel exactly as they are applied to everyone else, with transparent vetting and real consequences. Our human rights laws bind every recipient of American aid, or they are worth nothing.
Ending the starvation. The siege used starvation as a weapon of war, and the damage is not undone by a fragile ceasefire. Crossings are opened and closed at Israel's discretion, convoys are still turned back, and the flow of food, fuel, and medicine runs far below what the ceasefire promised and what survival and recovery require. Elijah will press the United States to force open full, unimpeded humanitarian access through every land route and crossing, at the scale this catastrophe demands, and to immediately restore UNRWA, the lifeline for millions of Palestinian refugees that was cut off on unproven allegations while children went hungry.
Palestinian freedom. The occupation is the root of this violence, and the decades spent pretending otherwise have produced nothing but more graves. Elijah will fight for a complete end to the occupation, immediate U.S. recognition of a Palestinian state, and real Palestinian sovereignty over Palestinian borders, ports, airspace, and resources.
Settlements and reconstruction. The settlements are illegal under international law, they grow by the day, and they are built to make a free Palestine physically impossible. Each new settlement comes with its own Israeli-only roads, checkpoints, and military zones that carve the West Bank into disconnected pockets and seize the best land and water, until no continuous territory remains for a Palestinian state to stand on. And the land is taken not only by bulldozer but by force: armed settlers burn olive groves, seize wells, and drive families off ground their ancestors farmed for generations, attacks carried out with near-total impunity and too often under the watch of Israeli soldiers. Elijah will work to bar American citizens and tax-exempt organizations from financing settlement growth and settler violence, and to impose targeted sanctions on the settlers and financiers driving it. Gaza was destroyed by a campaign waged with American weapons, and the parties who caused that destruction, Israel chief among them, carry the responsibility to rebuild it through transparent channels controlled by Palestinians themselves.
There is a special obscenity in the plan to empty Gaza and rebuild it as a luxury beachfront, to look out over a graveyard of tens of thousands and see an investment opportunity. It treats Palestinians as squatters to be cleared off valuable land rather than a people with every right to the homes their families have held for generations. Elijah utterly rejects it. Gaza belongs to the Palestinians who have lived and died there, and they, not foreign developers or speculators, will decide its future and rebuild it themselves.
Defending pro-Palestinian speech. The movement for Palestinian rights has been met here with doxxing, firings, expulsions, and laws punishing people for the peaceful choice to boycott. Elijah will oppose every attempt to penalize Americans for boycotting, protesting, or speaking out for Palestinian freedom, and he will defend that right with the same conviction he brings to every other civil liberty.
Iran
Elijah supports rejoining and expanding the Iran Nuclear Deal. He also believes in targeted sanctions on the Ayatollah's despotic regime without harming civilians. Empowering the Iranian people to fight the Ayatollah's authoritarianism will continue to be a key policy focus of Elijah. Preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon is a key U.S. objective—but it must be done through strong diplomacy, and smart negotiations, not unilateral military action.
RESTORE USAID and Humanitarian Aid
President Trump’s illegal and immoral decision to dismantle USAID has left almost a million people dead. In Congress, Elijah will work to immediately restore lifesaving food, medicine, and humanitarian aid programs. Elijah believes the United States should spend two percent of its budget on foreign aid and support our neighbors including Haiti and Jamaica when natural disasters strike. By helping our allies, we develop stronger trading partners and solidify South Florida’s position as a gateway to the world.
INTERNATIONAL TRADE
Elijah Manley supports free and fair trade. The United States plays an important role in fostering free trade on the International stage, while promoting Democratic values abroad. Chinese competition has threatened both U.S. national security, and global stability. Elijah Manley will oppose Trump's illegal tariffs.
