Democracy
Our democracy is under attack by fascists who are attacking our right to vote, ignoring courts, gerrymandering our districts, and taking our rights away. We need our Democratic Party to fight back. The status quo do-nothing era of the Democratic Party must come to an end.
Power to the Polls
Republicans are trying to take away your right to vote through voter suppression tactics. We must pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, make Election Day a national holiday, pass same-day voter registration, and protect the right to vote by mail.
Ban Dark Money
Dark money groups, funded by billionaires and corporations exist to buy elections for oligarchs and extremists and elect those who will do their bidding. Not only must Citizens United be overturned, but we need major campaign finance reform to overhaul the system entirely, including a ban on dark money.
End Gerrymandering
The people in power shouldn’t be choosing their voters. We need to end partisan gerrymandering and draw districts through non-partisan commissions, or our government will forever be captive to the big money extremist right wing.
Stop Fascism
Donald Trump and J.D. Vance have turned our government into an oligarch’s playground. The Billionaires like Elon Musk write the rules, and you pay the price. Through D.O.G.E., they are dismantling our government piece-by-piece and tearing through our democracy in violation of federal law and the Constitution. They are ignoring the courts. They are kidnapping citizens and non-citizens in broad daylight. They are testing the strength of our constitution.
Congress must reclaim its authority. In Congress, Elijah Manley will introduce articles of impeachment against Trump and officials in his administration for violation of their oath of office, and will provide extreme oversight over this administration. He will not vote to fund a fascist government. To stop fascism, it will come down to all of us to do our part: vote, hold our members of Congress accountable, and stand by our community. In Congress, Elijah Manley will oppose all anti-Democratic and illegal decrees of this fascist administration.
